Hekhani Seeds is an impact‑driven seed company established in 2022 to increase access to certified seed for small grains, legumes, and oil seed crops across Southern Africa. We focus on crops and farming systems often overlooked by traditional seed markets, ensuring that smallholder farmers especially women and youth can participate in resilient, profitable, and climate‑adapted agricultural value chains.
Our work strengthens food security, improves access to nutritious crops, and supports farmers facing drought and rainfall variability. By combining scientific research, farmer participation, and strategic partnerships, we are building inclusive seed systems that serve both communities and markets.
